Introduction

A fungi survey of the wood was carried out over two agreed visits, one of which took place during April and the other during November. In addition to these
two main visits, many short visits also took place throughout the year

Summary

The report concludes that, Big Wood holds a fair range of fungal species represented by genera of the major groups of larger fungi, which are to be expected from the complex
of habitats therein.

Method

Identifications were carried out in the field and
where necessary collections were made for identification by microscope.
